It’s been a whirlwind of a week. If you need a distraction or some retail therapy, there are tons of fun markets going on this weekend! I’m also sharing some businesses that have recently op/ened in the area in case you missed them. Let’s jump right in!
📰 What’s Happening?
🍷 19th Annual Wine, Women & Shopping | Nov 8th-9th | Chelsea
Over a dozen local businesses will have discounts, giveaways, or other prizes this weekend along with a sip & shop event at the Ugly Dog Distillery and an artisans market at the Chelsea Depot
🧵 Saline Craft Show | Nov 9th | Saline
Over 250 craft booths to shop from 8am-3:30pm! $5 cash admission, but free for kids 10 & under
🌙 Early Moon Market | Nov 9th | Ann Arbor
A small group of artist friends have come together to curate a new series of art markets to showcase their work alongside other talented local artists - hosted at Bløm from 4-9pm
❄️ Harvest Gathering & Holiday Pop-Up | Nov 9th | Ann Arbor
The Disability Network’s annual harvest gathering from 12-2pm offers free food and a chance to gather with friends + a holiday pop-up market from 1-4pm where you can shop for unique gifts while supporting local disabled artists
🦃 The Original Kroger A2 Turkey Trot | Nov 10th | Ann Arbor
Choose from 3 different distances to get your race (or walk) on at Hudson Mills
🌟 Ypsi Flea Market | Nov 10th
Shop vintage & antique treasures, art & more from 10am-4pm at the Ypsi Freight House

In case you missed it, these businesses recently opened in the Ann Arbor/Ypsi area!
Qahwah House - a new coffee house serving up organic, Yemeni coffee & a variety of pastries in Maple Village (211 N Maple)
B-Cubed Bakery - a new artisan bakery focused on fresh-milled whole grains, sourdough breads, pastries & coffee in Ypsi (741 Emerick St)
House of Chimney Cakes - a new Ann Arbor bakery specializing in handcrafted Hungarian chimney cones (I haven’t tried one yet, but my impression is that it’s a delicious-looking soft pastry that’s topped/filled with ice cream/fruit ?) (216 S 4th Ave)
KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot - a unique new spot in Ypsi with an all-you-can-eat experience merging traditional hot pot with Korean BBQ flavors (3769 Carpenter Rd)
Ondo Bakery & Cafe - a new cafe featuring brunch, baked goods & coffee in downtownn Ann Arbor
Friday Soft Goods - a new shop that recently opened in Ypsi and features a unique blend of entertainment and local art along with a free movie showing on the last Friday of every month (Godzilla at the end of this month!) (21 E Cross St)
I’m sure that doesn’t cover everything, but wanted to share some of the newer ones I’ve stumbled upon over the last couple months!
