Only 33 days until spring! 🌼

But who am I kidding? A date on a calendar doesn’t mean much in Michigan. This meme is a more accurate breakdown of what the seasons feel like. 😂

Not sure if we’re in 2nd winter or 3rd winter at this point?

I digress...

Let’s jump right into the events & live music happening throughout Washtenaw County this next week!

💃  Special Events This Weekend

1 thing to do this week that’s free: 
🛠️ Have something that needs repair, but don’t know how to fix it? Take it to “Fix It Friday” at Maker Works this Friday from 4-6pm before you toss it for a chance* to get it repaired for free. This is a really cool workshop space for all kinds of makers & creators and a special event they offer to the public on the 3rd Friday of every month. You can also volunteer to help with repairs if you’re a handy person who enjoys tinkering with things!

*The motto is “free but no guarantee!” Volunteers will do their best to help diagnose and/or fix your item, but they can’t make any promises đŸ™‚ 

1 thing to do this week with kids: 
⭐️ Check out one of the shows at the planetarium at the UM Natural History Museum. Tickets are $8/each for ages 3 & up and they have a few different shows they offer at various days/times throughout the weekend and on Monday!

1 outdoor activity to do this week: 
⛸️ Go ice skating this Friday at Buhr Park from 7:15-8:45pm. This week’s theme is Wild Wild West - themed music will be played and costumes are encouraged! $3 skate rentals and $5-$6 admission depending on age.

1 indoor activity to do this week:
💃 Get tickets to see a live performance by the Martha Graham Dance Company this weekend OR attend a free dance workshop led by a member of the dance company this Saturday from 11am-12pm
