New Work + Play Cafe for
September 18th-24th 2025: Your local guide to the local events & live music happening this weekend in Ann Arbor, Dexter, Ypsi, Chelsea & beyond!
Hi neighbors!
More fall fun is here — pumpkins, pretzels, fairy villages, and a corn pit (yes, that’s a thing). Whether you’re chasing apple cider, scoring deals on kids’ gear, or just looking for live music, this week’s lineup has plenty to keep you busy.
📰 What’s New?
Recess Work & Play Café | Ann Arbor
A new work/play space has recently opened in Ann Arbor - a place where you can sip coffee (or wine), get some work done, or meet a friend while your kids happily burn energy in a full play space. Recess is part café, part community hub — with coffee, light bites, beer, and NA drinks for grown-ups, plus plenty of playtime for the little ones.
🗓️ What’s Happening?
Looking for things to do in Ann Arbor, Dexter, Ypsi & beyond this weekend?
JBF Fall Sale | Sept 17–20, Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds
Six buildings stuffed with gently-used kids’ clothes, toys, and gear at garage-sale prices (but much more organized). Bring a wagon — you’ll need it.
New Munich Day at HOMES Campus | Sept 19, 4–10PM
Lederhosen, beer steins, pretzel-eating contests — it’s Oktoberfest, Ann Arbor–style. 🍻
Blast Corn Maze Opening Day | Sept 20, 11AM–9PM, Dexter
All the fall things in one spot - massive corn maze, pumpkins, hayrides, and plenty of cider-donut energy. And they have a corn pit.
Art in the Park – Fairy Village | Sept 20, 3PM, Bandemer Park
Kids build a fairy village from natural materials, craft their own magical creatures, and hear stories. Free, but preregistration required.
Finders Keepers Fall Market | Sept 21, 10AM–4PM, Chelsea
200+ vendors, boutique trucks, live music, and fall décor galore. Early birds get first dibs (and skip the line).
