📰  What’s Happening?

🍞 Bird Dog Baking opened the doors at their new storefront in Ypsi a couple weeks ago and I missed it - so I’m sharing now!

You’ve likely seen their goods at various local shops & cafes, but now they have a spot of their own! They specialize in sourdough breads & grain-forward pastries using organic and locally/regionally-grown ingredients.

🥳 Ann Arbor’s 200th Birthday celebration is this weekend! There’s a party/picnic in Liberty Plaza on Saturday from 11am-2:30pm as well as a “townie party” and free market from 11am-8:30pm in the lot of the downtown AA library.

🌸 The Arb’s peony collection should be at peak bloom these next couple days. This last week of high heat has put them into bloom early — catch them while you can!

💃  More Local Events

😻 Trivia with Cats this Saturday at the Tiny Lions Lounge & Adoption Center from 7:30-9:309pm. Two rounds of trivia with kitty breaks in between for all you cat and question loving people!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Fun Day at Revel Run in Chelsea this Sunday from 12-8pm. If you haven’t been here yet - they have an amazing outdoor green space along with food trucks on site. Sunday will have a BBQ food truck and $5 wristbands for all-day bouncy house access for the kids!

🌻 Flower Day this Sunday alongside the usual Sunday Artisan Market in Kerrytown from 10am-4pm. Shop all kinds of flowers, plants, bulbs, seeds, etc. while you enjoy the food trucks, live music, kids activities & more!

🇺🇸 …and of course, Memorial Day is Monday, May 27th and most every city in Washtenaw county is hosting its own parade/events to honor those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
